    H-D bought the naming right of “XR1200″ from Storz, not the design. Speaking of the design, Storz XR1200 is a modern-day replica of H-D XR750 dirt track racer. H-D XR1200 was designed by H-D in Europe with some spirit from the XR750 and European taste. So, the name conflicted and the both sides willingly resolved the issue.
